This acquisition is a significant step forward in our mission to provide the high-quality, hard-to-find items our customers depend on. Together, Boyd's Parts and Gems Manufacturing Systems will combine our strengths, resources, and expertise to meet the diverse needs of our customers from continuing product lines to custom requirements. We look forward to this new chapter and the enhanced benefits it will bring to all our customers.
Our Back Story
I first encountered GEMS Manufacturing Systems during my time in the Marines and Army through their knit gloves and boot bands. After retiring from the military and starting my own business in parts and supplies, our paths crossed again, this time while sourcing Berry Compliant Textiles for the Navy. I was lucky enough to have the owner request a call from me to discuss the order. In short order, we became good friends and when I learned he was planning to retire, I knew what he had created was too valuable to simply dissolve.
The Way Forward
Today, I am proud to say that we have joined forces. We are working together to transfer his wealth of knowledge and manufacturing expertise over to me. I am honored to have him as a mentor and friend, and I am committed to continuing his legacy by not only manufacturing his exceptional line of textiles but also expanding it to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
